Duchess Baked Treats and Offered Support to Win Sister-in-Law’s Favour
New details have emerged about Meghan Markle’s genuine attempts to foster a positive relationship with Princess Kate when she joined the Royal Family in 2018.
At the time, Kate was pregnant with her third child, Prince Louis, who was born in April of that year. To connect with her sister-in-law, Meghan reportedly baked homemade treats and prepared "care packages" for Kate.
Jennifer Peros, editor-in-chief at US Weekly, previously revealed that Meghan, who loves to cook, would often make little dishes for Kate during her pregnancy. A source also shared that Meghan would bake treats for Kate’s two older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to win their hearts early in her relationship with Prince Harry.
Before the birth of Prince Louis, it was reported that Kate was eager to guide Meghan through the complexities of royal life. A source noted, "Kate has been doing whatever she can to help Meghan adjust to life behind Palace walls. Despite having her hands full with two children and a third on the way, Kate has been offering guidance on Palace protocol and support to Meghan."
Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix baking show, produced in partnership with Archewell Productions, has also been confirmed. According to Deadline, the show will focus on "the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship," and is expected to align with Meghan’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. The show's title and release date are yet to be announced.
