Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were recently spotted in what appeared to be a tense interaction during their visit to a school in Bogota, Colombia, as part of their tour. The couple was participating in an art session and planting trees when an awkward moment between them was captured on camera, prompting a professional lip reader to decode the exchange.
During the visit, as they approached the school’s headmaster, Serafin Ordóñez, Vice President Francis Márquez invited Meghan to take the lead, saying, “Go ahead.” Meghan responded with a polite, “There you are.”
However, tension seemed to surface as the couple interacted with the children. Lip reader Nicola Hickling revealed that Prince Harry began to say something but was swiftly interrupted by Meghan, who turned her attention to one of the boys. According to Hickling, Meghan appeared to struggle momentarily before speaking, saying, “So, so you won an award in products, is that right?”
After Meghan finished speaking, Harry resumed the conversation, asking, “How serious were you when you took on this offer?”
Despite this brief moment of strain, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were otherwise seen in high spirits as they engaged with the children, even sharing a few words in Spanish and offering rare insights about their own children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
