New Milestone for Catherine and William Leaves Harry and Meghan Facing Setback

US Donor Contributions Boost Royal Foundation as Sussex Donations Decline

Catherine and Prince William have achieved a significant financial milestone, raising substantial funds from US donors, according to the Charity Commission's latest reports.

The Royal Foundation, originally founded by William and Harry in 2009 and now exclusively led by Catherine and William since 2019, reported an income of £8 million. This follows Prince William's success in raising £22.5 million in 2023 through The Earthshot Prize.

These figures are highlighted in the foundation's first annual report since The Earthshot Prize became an independent charity in 2022, as noted by GB News.

Significantly, £6.5 million of the foundation's income was derived from donations, with £1.7 million coming from US-based supporters.

As a result, Catherine and William's foundation has outpaced the contributions received by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Foundation, which has seen a sharp drop in donations—from £10.3 million to under £1.6 million, according to their latest accounts.

Despite relocating to California four years ago and leaving the Royal Foundation in 2019, the Duke of Sussex still benefits financially from his share in the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, which contributed £7,073 last year. This amount was allocated to Sentebale, Harry's charity for African orphans, which supports children and adolescents coping with HIV and AIDS.
