Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Security Plan Revealed Amid Warnings

Sussexes Press Ahead with Colombia Trip Despite Safety Concerns

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are determined to proceed with their planned visit to Colombia, even in the face of security warnings. According to a new report, the couple will be accompanied by a substantial security team during their tour of the South American nation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to begin their trip on Thursday, with arrangements in place for comprehensive security measures. An insider told the Mail that the California-based couple will have extensive protection as they accompany Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez on visits to several cities.

"They will be with the vice president, who has significant security due to previous assassination attempts on her life," the source explained.

However, the source also noted growing concerns about the cost of this security, adding, "People are questioning why the Colombian taxpayer should bear the burden of what is essentially a public relations exercise for the Sussexes and a government struggling to distract from its failures."

Security concerns have intensified as last year, Vice President Márquez revealed that her protection officers had thwarted an assassination attempt when they discovered an explosive near her family home in southwest Colombia. Despite these risks, Meghan and Harry appear resolute in moving forward with their visit.
