Sussexes Seek Protection in UK as Tensions Rise with the Monarch
Prince Harry has once again escalated tensions with his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, by making a new, shocking claim. According to a report by The Daily Beast, the Duke of Sussex believes that the Monarch has the "power" to assist him in his ongoing security dispute with the British Home Secretary.
An insider revealed that Harry feels trapped in this "unbelievable situation" due to his father's inaction, saying, "If the King wanted, he could do this for his son."
A source close to Harry emphasised the reality of the threat against him, stating that the Sussexes require protection if they return to the UK. "The idea that the security forces wouldn’t allow anything to happen is a very glib dismissal of the reality of the threat the family faces," the insider added.
The source further questioned why Harry would bring his wife and children back to the UK without assurance of their safety, saying, "The Duke needs protection, they need protection. The threat level hasn’t changed since he stepped back from the royal family; if anything, it has worsened due to the tabloid campaign against him and his wife."
Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family in 2020, after which they were stripped of their Metropolitan Police bodyguards, as they were no longer working royals.
