Prince Harry Moved to Tears After Missing UK Relative’s Funeral Due to Security Concerns

Duke of Sussex Faces Heartbreak Amid Ongoing Battle with Home Office Over Safety Issues

Prince Harry has been left heartbroken as he is set to miss the funeral of his relative, Robert Fellowes, husband of Princess Diana's sister Lady Jane and former Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II. Fellowes passed away on July 29, but the Duke of Sussex will not be attending the final service for his uncle due to ongoing security concerns.

Sources close to Harry have expressed sadness over his absence, noting that he is deeply affected by the situation. "Harry is heartbroken that he cannot attend the funeral of his mother's close relative and his grandmother's loyal aide because of security issues," a source revealed, citing his ongoing legal battle with the Home Office over personal protection while in the UK.

Fellowes, who was involved in the power struggle within the palace during the breakdown of Charles and Diana's marriage, had a strained relationship with Diana as a result. Despite this, Harry reconciled with Lady Jane, who played a significant role in his life, including giving a reading at his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.

While some speculate that Harry's absence may also be due to personal feelings towards Fellowes, others believe the primary reason is the lack of guaranteed security in the UK following the loss of his automatic protection.

Despite the personal turmoil, Harry and Meghan are committed to their upcoming visit to Colombia, where they will support an initiative aimed at combating violence against children. This trip comes shortly after the departure of Harry's Chief of Staff, Josh Kettler, who left the role after a mutual decision that the position was not the right fit.
