Speculation about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship has intensified following their recent interview with a US television icon, where Harry appeared uneasy and disengaged.
During the CBS interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex discussed their new initiative, "The Parents Network," aimed at enhancing online child safety and supporting families affected by suicide due to inadequate online safeguarding. However, their appearance and body language have prompted debates about the state of their relationship.
Royal commentator Angela Levin noted that Harry seemed "unhappy" and "at a loss" throughout the discussion. In the Dan Wooton Outspoken programme, she remarked: "Harry [...] looks so unhappy, the face has absolutely got no expression on. And he just looks at a complete loss. He is really lost at the moment, I think."
Meghan, during the interview, shared that she had "only scratched the surface" regarding her mental health in her 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview. She expressed her hope that by "being open" about her struggles with suicidal thoughts and "online bullying," she could "save others."
In response to Levin's observations, Wooton commented on Harry's apparent detachment from Meghan, noting: "He felt so distant from her [Meghan]. He was almost backing away."
The interview's host, Jane Pauley, observed Meghan placing her hand on Harry's knee, which went unacknowledged by Harry, prompting further speculation about their dynamic.
