Struggles and Boredom Mar Sussexes' American Life
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who relocated to the US after stepping down as senior royals in 2020, are reportedly struggling to enjoy life together in the country. A royal expert claims that the Duke of Sussex has made significant sacrifices for Meghan and is "increasingly bored" while supporting the former Suits star.
The couple is said to be experiencing tensions as Harry misses his life in the UK. According to a royal biographer, King Charles' estranged son silently grieves the memories of his loved ones. Prince William's younger brother is described as having lost his "shine and charm" since leaving behind his royal life and friends in the UK.
Royal author Tom Quinn told the Mirror that Harry is "looking back across the Atlantic," longing for the company of his army and school friends, who he rarely sees because "they won't visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult."
Quinn also noted that the Duke has "sacrificed" many of his friendships since moving to the US, adding: "After he’s taken the dog for a walk and maybe gone for a drive, he has nothing to do other than support Meghan."
Meanwhile, Quinn described Meghan's perspective, saying: "Meghan needs someone with serious determination to succeed in the world. This has led to huge tensions."
There is speculation that Harry might eventually return to the UK, as he believes the future of his children belongs there.
