Observers noted that the former working royal seemed anxious when Meghan discussed her mental health struggles during their time within the royal family.
During the CBS Sunday Morning segment, host Jane Pauley asked Meghan to reflect on her admission of experiencing suicidal thoughts during the Oprah interview, a revelation that alarmed the royal family.
Meghan, the former Suits actress, responded, "I wasn't expecting it." She elaborated, "When you've been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey, certainly part of mine, is being able to be really open about it."
The mother-of-three continued, "I have not really scratched the surface of my experience, but I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way, and I would never want someone else to be making those plans..."
It is noteworthy that the Montecito couple did not mention any royal family members during their new TV appearance, hinting at their goodwill gesture towards the British public.
