Zara Tindall Makes Royal Family Proud with Remarkable Achievement
Prince William, known for his close bond with cousin Zara Tindall, recently revealed his deep emotions during a significant moment in her life.
Throughout their lives, William and Zara have shared a strong connection, supporting each other through challenging times. In a heartfelt confession, the Prince of Wales recounted a moment from 2005 when Zara made the royal family proud, showcasing the strength of their relationship.
Speaking on the September 2023 episode of The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast, hosted by Zara’s husband Mike Tindall, William admitted that he was moved to tears watching Zara win the European Championship on her beloved horse, Toytown.
“I was down in Exmoor at the time camping,” William recalled. “We were all huddled around the phone watching it. She was there, she was blubbing away, the flag was going up. I was in pieces.”
Kate Middleton, who also participated in the podcast alongside Princess Anne, added, “I remember because you came back and said, ‘I've never been so proud of anyone.’”
In a separate interview, Zara expressed her surprise at William’s revelation, noting that she had “never heard him say that before.” She also shared that it was one of her “absolute favourite occasions” as all of her cousins were there to support her on the final day.
“Everyone's usually so busy, it's hard to come and watch, so it was amazing to have everyone there. It made it even more special than it already was. They were all very supportive and proud. It was great,” Zara said.
