King Charles Steps In as Sussexes Face Backlash Amid Controversial Tour
Prince William’s true feelings about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial Colombia tour have been revealed, with both him and King Charles said to be "furious."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their headline-grabbing visit on Thursday, focusing on the importance of creating safe digital spaces. However, their actions have sparked anger within the royal family.
Royal commentator Tom Quinn told The Mirror that King Charles and Prince William are upset over Harry and Meghan’s continued use of their royal status, despite stepping back from their official roles.
According to Quinn, Prince William wanted to issue an official statement clarifying that the tour was not "officially sanctioned" by the royal family. However, King Charles intervened, advising that "silence is the best response."
Quinn noted that while the King and Prince of Wales cannot prevent the tour from proceeding, they are deeply frustrated that the Sussexes appear to be "cashing in on their royal status" to compensate for their business challenges.
The royal expert also warned that these "fake royal tours" could further strain the already fragile relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.
