Royal Fans Wonder If Duchess's Condition Influenced the Duke's Latest Look
In a recent video message, Prince William surprised royal fans by appearing with a beard, a look he hasn’t sported in years. The video, shared alongside Kate Middleton, was part of a joint effort to congratulate Team GB for their achievements at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by notable figures such as Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill in sending their well-wishes to the athletes.
While the video’s primary focus was on the athletes, it was William’s unexpected facial hair that caught the attention of many. Body language expert Judi James, speaking to The Sun, suggested that the beard might be a subtle celebration of Kate Middleton’s presence by William’s side, particularly as she navigates her battle with cancer. James recalled the last time William was seen with a beard in 2008, coinciding with his reunion with Kate after a brief separation, and hinted that this new look might symbolise a similar celebration.
The expert further noted that William’s appearance could be a message that he has been standing strong for his family during these challenging times. Currently, William, Kate, and their children are enjoying the summer holidays at their Norfolk home and are expected to join the royal family at Balmoral soon.
