Princess Anne Risks Angering King Charles with Bold Move

Reportedly Supports Prince Andrew Amidst Royal Family Tensions

Princess Anne and Prince Edward are reportedly testing King Charles's patience by quietly supporting their brother, Prince Andrew, in the midst of his ongoing dispute with the monarch. According to a new report, the Princess Royal and the Duke of Edinburgh are taking a significant risk to help their brother, who is embroiled in a conflict over his residence at Royal Lodge.

The tension arises as Queen Elizabeth's children navigate a challenging period marked by internal family crises. Prince Andrew, who has reportedly limited his public appearances to avoid further conflict with King Charles, is said to have been encouraged by his siblings to remain at Royal Lodge despite the King's wishes.

King Charles, who is reportedly no longer willing to cover the cost of Andrew's security, has suggested that the Duke of York move to the less expensive Frogmore Cottage. However, Princess Anne and Prince Edward are believed to be working to prevent Andrew from being displaced.

Some commentators have proposed that Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, could potentially move into Royal Lodge if Andrew agrees to leave the 30-room mansion. However, royal author Richard Kay has downplayed this possibility, citing Edward's "loyalty" to his older brother and the potential disruption such a move could cause to family dynamics.

Kay also noted that Prince Edward and Princess Anne have both supported Andrew's desire to remain at Royal Lodge, adding that Edward sometimes "loyally joins" his brother on horse rides in Windsor. The outcome of this familial tension remains uncertain, but the actions of Princess Anne and Prince Edward have reportedly put them at odds with King Charles.
