Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's Dedication to Prince Andrew

Royal Sisters Actively Support Their Father Through Challenging Times

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are showing unwavering support for their father, Prince Andrew, by putting in significant effort to be there for him.

A royal commentator has observed that the sisters' strong bond with their father is apparent as they "go out of their way to care for Prince Andrew."

The Duke of York, aged 64, stepped back from royal duties after a controversial Newsnight interview in 2019. Since then, he has primarily resided at Royal Lodge, where he has lived since 2003. His ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also lives at the Windsor estate despite their divorce in 1996.

Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Eugenie, 34, both married with young families, maintain a close relationship with their father. Royal commentator Ingrid Seward emphasises that Prince Andrew enjoys a strong bond with his daughters and grandchildren, which sustains him despite his circumstances.

Seward describes the Yorks as a "united family," saying, "He has a very, very good relationship with his daughters' children, and I think that's one of the main things that sustains him. They all get on very well. He gets on extremely well with Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, always has, though they've had their fallouts. He does see a lot of his grandchildren and enjoys spending time with them."

Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in 2018, and they have two sons, August, three, and Ernest, one. Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020, and they have a daughter named Sienna, two. Edoardo also has a son, Wolfie, eight, from a previous relationship with Dara Huang.

Seward notes that Beatrice and Eugenie make special efforts to visit Prince Andrew at his Windsor residence. She told The Sun: "I think because they know that he's kind of stuck at Royal Lodge, they will go out of their way to go and see him rather than him coming to see them."

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, has explained her close relationship with Andrew despite their divorce, stating, "We get on because, in the darkest time of my life, he was always there for me. In the darkest time of his life, I will be there for him."
