Duchess of York Addresses Royal Health Issues and Personal Battle with Cancer
Sarah Ferguson has spoken out on the health challenges faced by King Charles and Princess Kate, while also addressing speculation about her ex-husband Prince Andrew’s relationship with the monarch. The Duchess of York, often known as Fergie, expressed support and admiration for both the King and the Princess of Wales.
In a heartfelt statement, Ferguson praised King Charles for his role as a patron of Cancer Research UK, saying, “I am so, so proud of the King for becoming the royal patron and engaging with people affected by cancer. It shows that he is truly listening and is very brave in his public duties.”
Ferguson also highlighted Princess Kate's courage in sharing her own cancer experience through a video message. “Lovely Princess Catherine was so brave in her video. Family unity is extraordinary, and I am just so proud and send them lots of love and support,” she shared.
In addition to her comments on the royal couple, Ferguson provided an update on her own health journey. Having previously battled breast and skin cancer, she opened up about her experiences during an interview with Good Morning Britain. “With a mastectomy and malignant melanoma, every day is a new normal,” Ferguson explained. “You can never say you're cancer-free, but I’m doing well and very determined.”
Ferguson’s candid remarks come amid ongoing speculation about royal feuds, with her positive comments about the King and Princess Kate seemingly aimed at dispelling any such rumours.
