Sarah Ferguson Pulled into Tensions Between Prince Andrew and King Charles

Speculation Grows Over Possible Move to Empty £4 Million London Home

Sarah Ferguson, the former wife of Prince Andrew, has found herself entangled in the ongoing dispute between Prince Andrew and King Charles over the Royal Lodge. Amid growing tensions, there is speculation that the Duke and Duchess of York could relocate from the Royal Lodge to Ferguson’s vacant £4 million home in central London.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's mother, commonly known as Fergie, has recently made headlines for her efforts to support her ex-husband as he faces increasing pressure from King Charles to relinquish the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Neighbours have noted that Ferguson’s two-bedroom Georgian house in Belgravia, located near her daughters' homes, has remained unoccupied for a significant period, sparking rumours of a potential move.

Royal insiders suggest that Andrew is under mounting pressure to leave the 30-room Royal Lodge, which he currently shares with Ferguson, and consider moving to Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, due to security concerns. However, Andrew is reportedly refusing to vacate the Royal Lodge, citing the long-term lease he signed in 2003, which still has over five decades remaining.

Adding to the intrigue, Land Registry documents indicate that Sarah Ferguson cannot sell her London home without the written consent of her daughters, possibly because they contributed financially to the purchase.

As the speculation continues, some believe that Sarah and Andrew might consider returning the Royal Lodge to the monarch to secure the future of their daughters within the royal family. However, Andrew remains steadfast in his refusal to leave, further intensifying the ongoing feud.
