The estranged brothers, whose strained relationship has caused heartache for their cancer-stricken father, King Charles, are also putting the monarchy under pressure during this challenging time.
In an effort to support their uncle and safeguard the royal family's image, Zara and Beatrice are taking action to ease tensions, according to royal expert Ian Pelham Turner. "Beatrice and Zara both want the royal family to be seen in the best possible light," Turner told Fox News Digital, highlighting their strong values and practical approach.
Rather than choosing sides, Zara and Beatrice are focusing on building bridges between William and Harry. "They are out of the maelstrom of William and Harry and are good at building bridges and calming situations," Turner explained, suggesting that their involvement could be key in reuniting the brothers and finding a way forward, including Meghan Markle and their children.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold added that Zara and Beatrice have been supporting William as he copes with Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, along with his father’s illness. Harrold emphasized that Beatrice, in particular, remains close to both brothers, maintaining strong relationships despite the ongoing tensions.
"They’re cousins, but they’re close and have each other’s backs," Harrold said, expressing confidence that Beatrice has likely reached out to both William and Harry in an effort to improve their strained relationship and bring the family closer together.
