Buckingham Palace Rejects Boris Johnson’s Claims of ‘Pep Talk’ with Harry

Royal insider denies former PM’s story about intervention to prevent Harry’s royal exit.

Buckingham Palace has firmly responded to claims made by former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who revealed in his upcoming memoir Unleashed that he was asked to give a "manly pep talk" to Harry in an effort to stop him from stepping down as a senior member of the royal family.

Johnson described the event as a "ridiculous business" in which he was tasked with convincing Harry to stay within the royal fold, though he admitted the attempt was "totally hopeless."

However, an insider from Buckingham Palace has denied these allegations, telling The Telegraph that no officials requested Johnson's intervention during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to step back from royal duties in 2020.

Currently, Harry and the Duchess of Sussex reside in Montecito, California, with their two children. The Duke recently made headlines when King Charles and Harry's brother extended warm birthday messages for his 40th, sparking speculation about a potential family reunion in the near future.
