The Duchess of Cambridge shares a heartfelt message while focusing on her health.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, who has temporarily stepped away from her royal duties due to a cancer diagnosis and ongoing chemotherapy, recently penned a heartfelt letter to Kirsty Kerr, whose six-year-old daughter Isla has coeliac disease.
Kirsty was moved to tears upon receiving the letter just two weeks ago, after she had written to the Duchess explaining how Isla struggles with her condition, often feeling different from her peers due to her strict diet and lower energy levels.
In her response, Catherine expressed her empathy for Isla’s challenges, offering words of encouragement to the family. "I was very sorry to learn about the difficulties that your daughter has experienced, but it was heartening to learn of the progress that Isla has made," the letter read.
The Duchess also praised Kirsty for her commitment to her daughter’s wellbeing, calling it "truly admirable." The letter concluded with Catherine sending her best wishes to the family, a message shared via Hello! Magazine.
This touching gesture comes as Catherine continues her own personal health journey, having been diagnosed with cancer in March. She has since been receiving preventative chemotherapy and has taken time away from her royal engagements to focus on her recovery.
