Former Staffer Defends Meghan Markle Against ‘Dictator Duchess’ Allegations

Ex-Archewell COO Refutes ‘Duchess Difficult’ Claims with Personal Insight

A former employee of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has offered a firsthand account of working for the Sussexes, countering recent claims of mistreatment of staff.

The Hollywood Reporter recently depicted Meghan as a “dictator in high heels” who “doesn’t take advice” and allegedly reduced “grown men to tears,” earning her the label “Duchess Difficult.”

Mandana Dayani, the former Chief Operating Officer of Archewell, has refuted these claims in an interview with Us Weekly, calling them “endless and damaging narratives.”

“Part of the profound injustice is that so much of the kindness, mentorship, and support that Harry and Meghan provide happens quietly behind closed doors,” Dayani stated.

Dayani, who served as Archewell president from 2021 to 2022, shared a poignant story of Meghan’s compassionate visit to Uvalde, Texas, following the tragic 2022 school shooting. She described how the Duchess spent hours comforting grieving families and has continued to support them since.

“For hours, she sat with each person, offering hugs and shedding tears alongside them,” Dayani recalled, emphasizing that Meghan has kept in touch with the affected families.

Expressing her admiration for the couple, Dayani said, “Harry and Meghan are kind, decent, and caring people who I am very proud to call my friends.”
