Friend Defends Meghan Markle Against Claims of Intimidating Staff

Report Accusing Duchess of Bullying Branded as “One-Sided” by Close Ally

A friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has dismissed a controversial report portraying Meghan Markle as a “dictator in high heels,” calling the allegations exaggerated and biased.

The article, published by The Hollywood Reporter, labelled Meghan, 43, as “Duchess Difficult” and claimed that staff members were “terrified” of her. These claims emerged following the resignation of Josh Kettler, the couple’s chief of staff, after just three months in the role.

One source alleged that Meghan “belittles people” and “doesn’t take advice,” describing her as someone who “marches around like a dictator in high heels” and has “reduced grown men to tears.” The source also criticised both Harry and Meghan as indecisive and poor leaders.

The report has reignited past accusations of Meghan’s alleged bullying behaviour, which she has previously dismissed as a “calculated smear campaign.” In response, a friend of the couple told The Mail that the article was “ill-informed and very one-sided,” defending Meghan’s character and leadership.

Despite the backlash, the Sussexes have faced scrutiny over their high staff turnover, reportedly losing at least 18 employees since their 2018 marriage. Lady Victoria Hervey further speculated on their personal dynamic, suggesting that Harry is “dependent” on Meghan and that she keeps him on a “tight leash.”

The Sussexes have not publicly responded to the allegations, but their friend’s comments reflect ongoing frustration with negative media portrayals.
