Royal Commentators Criticise Duke’s Appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Show
Prince Harry has sparked controversy with his latest appearance in New York City, hinting at a potential Hollywood debut. The Duke of Sussex’s surprise participation in a Halloween-themed segment on Jimmy Fallon’s show has drawn criticism from royal commentators, who argue that his actions are far removed from traditional royal duties.
Commentator Cameron Walker noted that if Harry were still a working royal, he "would not have done this," describing the stunt as “very celebrity, very Hollywood.” He added, “It’s not particularly British and royal, but it’s Harry’s choice. As a private citizen, he can do what he likes.”
The father-of-two’s appearance has fuelled speculation that Harry is preparing for a major project, with some questioning why Meghan did not join him for the string of events in the city. According to Walker, the couple now appears to be following separate professional paths, with Meghan focusing on her American ventures, including a potential lifestyle brand.
Harry is set to make a solo trip to the UK on Monday, while Meghan remains in the US, continuing to pursue her individual projects.
