Prince Harry reportedly left King Charles feeling “angry” and “disappointed” after private details of a birthday phone call were leaked, according to royal expert Rebecca English.
During the Daily Mail's Palace Confidential show, English discussed the royal family’s surprising public birthday wish for the Duke of Sussex on his 40th birthday. Despite the ongoing estrangement, King Charles had kept the door open for reconciliation. However, Harry’s actions during the King’s 75th birthday call in November reportedly upset the monarch.
“Charles is angry and hurt, but he is still Harry’s father, which is why he has always kept a door open for him,” English explained. “But he was really disappointed when private details of their call, including a video message from Harry’s children, were leaked to the media.”
According to English, the incident “crossed a line” for the royal family, as the call was intended to be a personal and private moment. The leak has strained relations further, adding tension to an already difficult relationship between father and son.
