Duke of York Reconsidering Future at Expansive Residence Amid Family Concerns
King Charles may soon receive welcome news from his brother, Prince Andrew, as the Duke of York is reportedly reconsidering his decision to remain at the Royal Lodge. Previously, King Charles requested that Andrew downsize from the 30-room estate to a smaller property like Frogmore Cottage, but Andrew initially declined, despite difficulties in maintaining the residence financially.
Speaking with Sky News, columnist Angela Mollard suggested that the time has come for Andrew to move out, especially considering his controversial past involving Jeffrey Epstein, which has resurfaced with the release of a new Amazon series. Mollard also pointed out that relocating would benefit Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, who have been impacted by the scandal.
She further noted that should King Charles’s health decline and Prince William ascend to the throne sooner than expected, William would need the support of his cousins, including Beatrice and Eugenie. These factors suggest that King Charles may soon hear positive news from Andrew, potentially easing some of the King's current concerns.
