King Charles, currently undergoing cancer treatment, has reportedly been left devastated by the ongoing rift between his sons, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex. The 75-year-old monarch was forced to step in and make an emotional appeal during a heated exchange between the brothers.
Since the Duke of Sussex’s departure from royal life in 2020 and his relocation to the United States, tensions have only worsened, with his memoir Spare revealing shocking claims about his experiences within the royal family.
In the memoir, the Duke recalls a moment after Prince Philip's funeral when the three of them—Charles, William, and Harry—took a walk around Windsor estate. During this walk, an argument erupted once more, with Harry explaining how he struggled to keep his emotions in check as he tried to communicate his feelings. He claimed his brother repeatedly dismissed him, leading to further tension.
As tempers flared, King Charles reportedly intervened, stepping between his sons and pleading with them to stop. According to Harry’s account, Charles raised his hands and, with a raspy voice, delivered a heartbreaking message: “Please, boys—don’t make my final years a misery.”
