Monarch Dismisses Duke of Sussex's Request for Part-Time Royal Role
King Charles III has reportedly turned down the Duke of Sussex’s proposal to return as a part-time working royal, insisting on full commitment to the monarchy, in line with the late Queen’s firm stance. A royal aide confirmed the King’s decision, reflecting his unwavering dedication to preserving royal traditions.
Grant Harrold, a former royal butler, shed light on the matter, stating, "The King feels the same as his late mother—there's no half in, half out." Harrold further explained that for the Duke of Sussex to return, he would need to completely embrace royal duties, without involvement in media ventures.
Reports indicate that while the Duke may be open to temporary support, he has no plans to resume his former royal role unless certain conditions, including an apology from his brother, are met. Harrold suggested that the King would only consider the Duke’s return if it involved total dedication to royal responsibilities.
