Duchess Reportedly Urges Harry to Avoid Emotional Decisions Amid Tensions
Meghan Markle is reportedly concerned about Prince Harry’s upcoming UK trip for the WellChild Awards, as he prepares to attend the event without her. The Duke of Sussex, who has been a patron of the charity for 16 years, will travel alone, raising speculation about his plans and intentions.
Royal expert Hugo Vickers suggested that Meghan is wary of Harry making any emotional decisions about a potential return to royal life, particularly following the recent public birthday greeting he received from the royal family. “The real problem is that Prince Harry won’t come back without Meghan unless something drastic happens,” Vickers told The Sun.
He added, “Meghan has no desire to come to the UK, where she isn’t very popular. Harry, meanwhile, has been complicit in many of the controversial remarks made by the Sussexes, but it often seems like he’s acting under instruction.”
Vickers speculated that Harry could eventually return to the UK on his own, but not in the immediate future. The Duke recently celebrated his birthday with close friends, which Vickers believes was a rare move “allowed” by Meghan.
Concerns about the Sussexes’ marriage have also been raised, as Harry did not mention Meghan in his statement ahead of his birthday—an unusual omission for the Duke, according to Vickers. With tensions still high, Meghan is reportedly keen to ensure that Harry remains cautious and measured during his solo visit.
