Duchess Reportedly Takes ‘Pleasure’ in Proving Royals Wrong, Further Straining Harry’s Path to Peace
Meghan Markle has seemingly created a new obstacle in Prince Harry's efforts to reconcile with his family, as she continues to prove her stance to the royal family. According to a royal expert, Harry, who is reportedly seeking peace talks with his father, King Charles, amid the King’s health issues, now faces even greater distance from his family due to recent actions by him and Meghan.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who recently completed successful non-royal tours to Nigeria and Colombia, are showcasing how part-time royal roles could have worked to the monarchy's advantage, particularly during this time of crisis.
Royal author Tom Quinn explained that Meghan views their tour as a success, believing it proves she was right about the benefits of being part-time royals. He added that Meghan "takes pleasure in being treated as a great figure," while Prince Harry appeared less confident, with a "sad-little-boy look."
However, Quinn warned that Harry’s involvement in these unofficial royal-like tours has only deepened tensions with his family, particularly with his brother, Prince William, who is "furious" and determined to prevent similar situations in the future. King Charles is also reportedly "angrier than ever."
These developments follow Harry's recent trip to the UK for the funeral of his uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, where he and Prince William made no contact, despite being in attendance together.
