The Duke of Sussex has confirmed his participation in the event, expressing his honour to be part of the ceremony that celebrates the courage and achievements of children living with complex medical needs. However, it remains uncertain whether Meghan will join her husband during his visit to the UK.
PR expert Renae Smith highlighted two options Meghan may be considering. On one hand, attending the event would allow her to show support for Harry’s charitable efforts and potentially boost her popularity, especially among the UK's Gen Z, who are reportedly more favourable towards her. On the other hand, she may be wary of negative public reactions and media scrutiny that could shift focus from the event to her ongoing tensions with the Royal Family.
“Meghan’s potential return to the UK could go either way,” Smith told Express.co.uk. “It could be an opportunity to demonstrate solidarity with Harry, but it also risks reigniting criticism, particularly if the media shifts focus away from the charity to her relationship with the Royals.”
