Duchess of Sussex Closes In on Prince William's Approval in Latest Poll
Meghan Markle's growing popularity among Gen Z in the UK has reportedly caused tension within the royal family, particularly for Prince William and Kate Middleton. According to a recent YouGov poll, the Duchess of Sussex has seen a notable increase in favourability, gaining 22 points in approval, especially following her visit to Colombia with Prince Harry.
The poll, conducted from August 14 to August 15, revealed that Meghan is now favoured by 48% of young Britons, with only 30% expressing disapproval, giving her a net approval rating of +18. Prince William, meanwhile, holds a similar approval rating, with 48% favourability and a net rating of +20, just two points higher than Meghan’s.
This surge in popularity has reportedly alarmed key royal figures, as Meghan’s influence among younger generations continues to grow, posing a potential challenge to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
