Locals in Montecito have shared their observations of the Sussexes, noting that they are rarely seen. According to The Telegraph, Prince Harry is typically spotted only while walking on the beach, biking, or dining out with his security team. Meghan, while also maintaining a low profile, is occasionally seen having lunch with friends or shopping locally.
Richard Mineards, a society columnist residing nearby, expressed some disappointment at the couple’s infrequent community presence. “The community is waiting for them,” Mineards said. “They're gnashing at the bit. The cachet of a Duke and Duchess is significant, and while they live splendidly, their security presence is unmatched in our area.”
Amidst their Californian life, Prince Harry reportedly remains uninterested in returning to royal duties unless he receives an apology from his estranged brother, Prince William.
