Piers Morgan Criticises Prince Harry Over Latest Remarks About Royal Family

TV Presenter Slams Duke’s Comments Amid Ongoing Tensions

Piers Morgan has hit out at Prince Harry following the Duke of Sussex’s recent speech at the Clinton Global Initiative 2024 summit, where he advocated for greater accountability from tech companies to protect young users from the harmful effects of social media.

The former Good Morning Britain host, known for his frequent criticism of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, took to social media to question Harry’s stance. Drawing a parallel between social media’s impact and the Duke’s own public statements about the royal family, Morgan wrote: “Does he have any advice for how the Royal Family can be protected from the harmful effects of people abusing them in books, Netflix docs, podcasts and TV interviews with Oprah?”

Harry’s comments came during a series of engagements in New York linked to the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week. In his speech, the Duke emphasised the need to safeguard children from online dangers, sharing that his phone lock screen features photos of his children, Archie and Lilibet.

“These children and thousands more meant the world to their families. The beautiful faces you see before you, their smiles, their dreams, all lost, all too soon and all because of social media,” Harry said, highlighting the role of the Parents Network in addressing these challenges.

Morgan’s criticism underscores the ongoing friction between the Duke and certain media figures, as Harry continues to navigate his role as a vocal advocate for mental health and digital safety while maintaining his complex relationship with the royal family.
