Prince Andrew continues to face the consequences of his past mistakes, with his eviction from Royal Lodge now imminent. King Charles, frustrated by his brother’s attitude, has reportedly accelerated eviction plans, following the recent cut to Andrew’s security funding.
A royal insider revealed that Andrew has been described as an “idiot” and “lacking guidance,” particularly regarding decisions that tarnished the royal family’s reputation. Royal photographer Jim Bennett, who has long covered the family, echoed this sentiment, calling Andrew’s behaviour foolish, especially his return to America to see Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew’s association with the convicted trafficker led to the loss of his royal titles and patronages in 2019. Despite accusations, Andrew settled out of court without admitting guilt, but the fallout severely damaged his standing within the royal family.
Recent reports indicate that Andrew has resorted to childish tactics, defying the King's orders to vacate Royal Lodge and hiding in a darkened room in protest. As King Charles grows increasingly frustrated, insiders suggest that Andrew’s refusal to cooperate may lead to further reductions in support if he doesn't accept a more suitable residence soon.
