Sources dismiss speculation of Duke’s return to UK and royal duties
Prince Harry has come under criticism for allegedly giving Queen Elizabeth II a "tough time" during her final years, with royal fans reportedly not welcoming his return to the UK. Recent claims suggest the Duke of Sussex's strained relationship with his family, particularly his brother Prince William, added stress to the late Queen’s life before her passing.
Despite speculation about a possible return to royal duties, sources close to Harry have dismissed the idea, stating he is "happy and settled" in California with no interest in resuming his royal role. Journalist Alex Larman argued that Harry’s behaviour, described as "disgraceful and appalling," has left British people uninterested in his return.
Larman further claimed that Harry's departure to the U.S. caused "stress and misery" for the Royal Family, especially the late Queen. Reflecting on her final years, he suggested the Queen was denied the peace she deserved due to ongoing tensions.
As the two-year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death approaches, Larman emphasized the Royal Family's struggles since her passing, highlighting illness and a sense of "slight chaos" within the monarchy during this period.
