Duke and Duchess Accused of Overshadowing Kate Middleton’s Cancer Update with Netflix Teaser
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced backlash for allegedly overshadowing Princess Kate's important milestone. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a teaser for their upcoming Netflix polo documentary at the same time Kate Middleton shared an emotional video about her cancer recovery.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield slammed the couple for what she called a "vulgar" attempt to "steal the spotlight" from the Princess of Wales. "I think it's the worst possible coincidence," Schofield said, adding that Netflix’s PR team should have delayed the teaser release to avoid clashing with Kate’s heartfelt message.
Schofield also called the move "opportunistic," criticizing the Sussexes for releasing the teaser after such a significant and personal update from Kate. It is important to note, however, that there is no confirmation that the timing of the release was intentional.
