Duke of Sussex criticised for revealing new series shortly after Princess of Wales' emotional health update.
Prince Harry has stirred controversy following accusations that his latest actions were an attempt to overshadow Catherine, the Princess of Wales. The Duke of Sussex announced his new Netflix documentary series just hours after Catherine shared a heartfelt video updating the public on her cancer treatment.
The move drew sharp criticism, with TV presenter Piers Morgan calling the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "spoilt brats" for promoting their series "just 100 minutes" after Catherine’s video. Morgan emphasised the stark contrast in tone between the two announcements, stating: "It might as well have been 100 light years apart."
Royal commentator Mike Parry also expressed disbelief, branding Harry’s decision to release the news as "unbelievably trite." Parry remarked, "After Catherine’s touching video, which was both uplifting and a reminder of the battle against cancer, Harry and Meghan seemed to trivialise the moment by promoting their polo series."
Catherine, in her video, shared the news that she had completed chemotherapy and was eager to return to her royal duties. However, just 100 minutes later, Prince Harry introduced his upcoming Netflix series, POLO, which will explore the world of elite polo players, set to premiere this December.
