King Charles Reportedly Hesitant to Meet Son Amid Ongoing Tensions
Prince Harry, who is set to return to the UK for the WellChild Awards on September 30, will reportedly not receive a warm welcome from his royal relatives.
British broadcaster Helena Chard claims that King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, is reluctant to meet with his younger son during the visit. Despite Harry being the guest of honour at the charity event, the King is reportedly wary of engaging due to concerns about privacy and security.
“King Charles is fed up with Prince Harry’s security demands and won’t be available 24/7 for his requests,” Chard told Fox News Digital. However, she added that the King still cares deeply for Harry and may attempt to communicate with him on significant occasions.
While Chard believes that reconciliation between father and son is possible, she acknowledged that it will take time. “Things are moving in the right direction, but it won’t be a quick fix,” she said.
Speculation suggests that Harry may opt to stay at the Althorp Estate with his mother’s family, rather than with the King, during his UK visit. Chard noted that Harry feels a strong connection to the estate and his “red aunts” and uncle Charles Spencer, making it a comfortable choice for him.
