Prince Harry Faces Setback as Prince William Dismisses Reconciliation Hopes

Royal Historian Reveals Major Obstacles in the Way of a Sibling Reunion

Prince William seems unwilling to entertain the possibility of reconciliation with his brother, Prince Harry, despite recent events that briefly brought them together.

Speculation about the brothers mending their fractured relationship has swirled since the Duke visited their cancer-stricken father, King Charles, earlier this year. The pair were seen together again at the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, but reportedly did not exchange a word.

Although this meeting reignited hopes for a reconciliation, royal historian Hugo Vickers has cautioned that significant barriers remain. Speaking to The Sun, Vickers emphasized that an "enormous amount of groundwork" is required if the brothers are to make amends.

The historian’s comments come amidst reports that Prince Harry is planning a return to the UK, reconnecting with former aides and friends. However, Vickers pointed out that Prince William’s reputedly "unforgiving" nature could pose a significant challenge.

"I understand that Prince William is very annoyed and tends to be rather unforgiving," Vickers explained. "So there's an enormous amount of groundwork to be done. While reconciliation is always possible, especially if both sides are willing to compromise, I don’t see it happening anytime soon."
