William’s Strategic Hiring Puts Harry in a Difficult Position Amid Royal Rift
Prince Harry has reportedly reacted with frustration after Prince William made a seemingly pointed move amid their ongoing royal rift. William hired José Andrés, a close friend of the Sussexes, for his global Earthshot Prize Council, in what some see as a petty act toward his estranged brother.
Royal expert Phil Dampier commented on the situation, suggesting that Harry might feel a sense of jealousy over William’s decision to bring José on board. Andrés, a chef and humanitarian, has previously referred to Harry and Meghan Markle as "dear friends," raising speculation about the impact this move could have on their relationship.
Though it's unclear whether the Sussexes have fallen out with José, Dampier noted that Andrés could be managing to remain friends with both sides. The timing of the announcement came shortly after Harry attended a family funeral, where he and William reportedly did not engage with each other.
Harry has also been distancing himself from certain events, including declining an invite to the Duke of Westminster’s wedding, to avoid media attention focused on his strained relationship with William.
