The Duke of Sussex chose to forgo attending the high-profile wedding of his childhood friend and Prince Archie's godfather, the Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, in order to avoid drawing unwanted attention and potential controversy.
Instead, Harry privately attended the memorial service for his beloved uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, where he paid his respects in the presence of his family, including Prince William. Royal historian Hugo Vickers praised Harry’s discreet approach, telling The Sun, "It's commendable that he was able to come and go without anyone seeing him; that's quite an achievement. Because it was a private occasion, it's good that it stayed private." Vickers further noted that Harry’s presence at the funeral was likely driven by his affection for his aunt Jane, particularly in the aftermath of his mother’s tragic death.
