Prince Harry Speaks Out After Secret UK Visit

Duke of Sussex Releases Inspiring Video for Invictus Games

Prince Harry has made his first public appearance since his discreet trip to the UK last month, appearing in a new video released by his Invictus Games charity.

The Duke of Sussex, who travelled to the UK in late August for the funeral of his late uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, was seen attending the service at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk. He was present alongside Prince William, although the brothers reportedly did not engage following their entrance through separate doors.

Despite his low profile in September, Harry has reemerged in a video promoting the Invictus Games, which are scheduled to be held in Vancouver, Canada, in February 2025. In the video, Harry narrates over footage of disabled veterans competing, stating: "Sport has the ability to heal, to change lives, and to save lives. For many of these competitors, reaching the start line has been one of the hardest moments of their life. But at the Games, their lives are transformed. Witnessing these extraordinary moments and sport facilitating such change is incredibly special for all of us."

The timing of the video release, coinciding closely with Prince William’s public appearance at the Saatchi Gallery, has sparked some criticism. A commenter on X (formerly Twitter) noted, "Posted within a couple of hours of Prince William’s first royal engagement this fall, so not cool Invictus."

However, many viewers have praised the video, with some expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming Invictus Games. Comments from Canadian supporters included, "Let’s goooo Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler" and "Beautiful, so exciting. Coming closer rapidly now."
