Brothers Avoid Contact During Uncle’s Memorial Amid Lingering Tensions
Prince Harry and Prince William made no effort to communicate while attending the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, despite being together under one roof. The Duke of Sussex’s secret trip to the UK surprised many, marking the first time the brothers had been in the same place since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022.
Although the private nature of the event provided an opportunity for reconciliation, no interaction occurred between the brothers. Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield believes that Harry’s harsh remarks in his memoir Spare are to blame for the ongoing estrangement.
"Prince Harry has done irreparable damage to his relationship with his brother," Schofield told Fox News Digital, citing Harry’s comments about William’s appearance, which she described as "unnecessary and cruel."
A paperback edition of Spare is set for release in October, but sources suggest there will be no updates or revisions. Many view this as a missed opportunity for Harry to offer an apology and potentially heal the rift with his brother. Schofield echoed this sentiment, saying, "Harry really missed an opportunity to update the book with a sincere apology for all the hurt that he’s caused."
