Prince William and Harry's Secret Bomb-Proof Shelter: Fun-Filled Moments in 'Club H' Revealed

Brothers Once Bonded in Private Highgrove Hideaway Before Growing Rift

Prince William and Prince Harry, now at odds, once shared fun-filled moments together in a secret bomb-proof shelter at their father’s Tetbury home, Highgrove House. During their teenage years, the brothers transformed the shelter into a private retreat, known as 'Club H,' where they spent time with friends away from public view.

Secluded deep in the Gloucestershire countryside, Highgrove became a hot spot for the brothers. According to royal author Robert Lacey, King Charles allowed William and Harry to turn the shelter into a party venue complete with a disco and drinks trolley. The well-stocked bar and high-end sound system made it the perfect hangout during school holidays.

Lacey wrote in Battle of Brothers, “Club H was where the brothers relaxed intensively when their father was away.” Even when King Charles was home, William and Harry would occasionally head out with friends to The Rattlebone Inn, a nearby pub.

Prince Harry also shared in his memoir that many assumed the 'H' stood for Harry, but it actually represented Highgrove. Though the brothers once shared a close bond, their relationship has deteriorated since Harry’s move to the US. Their recent reunion at their uncle’s funeral reportedly saw them keep their distance from each other, highlighting the ongoing strain between them.
