Duke of Sussex Demands Apology from Prince William Before Considering Return to Royal Life
Prince William has agreed to enter "peace talks" with Prince Harry, but insists that any discussions begin with a clean slate, leaving past disagreements behind.
The Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales, who have been estranged, briefly reunited at their uncle's funeral in Norfolk but did not engage with each other. Despite their strained relationship, both brothers are reportedly willing to explore reconciliation, though William is firm on starting anew.
A source close to the situation revealed: “Harry is open to reconciling with his brother, acknowledging the challenge it presents. However, William is only willing to proceed if the talks begin with a fresh start, where past issues are not revisited.”
Prince Harry is reportedly seeking an apology from William before considering rejoining the Royal Family. Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and relocating to the US with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Harry has also raised concerns about inadequate security for his family during UK visits.
Harry has indicated he will not bring Meghan back to the UK until security arrangements are improved. Meghan has not visited the UK since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022.
