The Prince of Wales balances his son's interests with the demands of royal responsibility.
Prince William is laying the groundwork for his children's future roles in the monarchy as he prepares for his own responsibilities as the next king. His eldest son, Prince George, has shown a keen interest in flying, which William is incorporating into his plans for the young royal’s development.
During a visit to the Wales Air Ambulance headquarters in South Wales, William shared his own passion for aviation, a field in which he once served as a helicopter pilot. He hinted at a possible return to flying and discussed how George, like his father, is eager to become a pilot.
William expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I can't stop talking about helicopters and medical kits... I miss it all," and suggested he may join the air ambulance for a weekend.
This insight into George's interests aligns with William’s recent comments that his son is a “potential pilot in the making.” The visit came shortly after his wife, Catherine, shared the uplifting news that she is “cancer-free” following nine months of chemotherapy.
