Prince of Wales Connects with Students and Offers Insight into Princess’s Health Progress
During a visit to Swiss Valley Community Primary School in Llanelli, Prince William provided an update on Princess Catherine’s recovery from cancer. The Prince of Wales was greeted by enthusiastic crowds shortly after Catherine’s recent health announcement.
Amid the warm wishes and gifts for his wife, William shared a brief but hopeful 12-word update, telling 74-year-old Pauline Thomas, "It’s good news but there is still a long way to go." Another well-wisher, Jane Stoneman, handed William a letter for Catherine, expressing her appreciation for the family’s touching video update. William responded gratefully, saying, "She is better. Thank you very much."
Stoneman, reflecting on the emotional video, remarked, "It was a beautiful video—it made me cry. Catherine has been through such a difficult time, and to see how loved she is by her family was heartwarming."
Prince William also engaged with students who participated in the 2024 Urdd Eisteddfod, a celebration of Welsh culture. Among the students was 10-year-old Ruby Davies, whose spirited performance in the individual recital category made her a viral sensation earlier this year.
