Prince William Steps in as King Charles Pauses Duties on Health Advice

Prince of Wales Takes Over Royal Engagements Amid King’s Health Precautions

Prince William assumed royal duties today, stepping in for King Charles just hours after the monarch revealed he was following "doctor's orders" to limit his public appearances.

The Prince of Wales represented the King at the Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Air Force College in Cranwell, as reported by GB News. The ceremony included graduates from the Commissioned Warrant Officers Course and the Modular Initial Officer Training Course, with a total of 48 Royal Air Force Cadets and 4 International Officer Cadets completing their training.

Prince William received a Royal Salute, observed a flypast, and delivered a short speech congratulating the new graduates. He also joined them, along with their families and friends, for a gathering in the College Dining Room, where they reflected on their training and future careers.

This appearance follows King Charles’ recent health update, shared during a meeting at Buckingham Palace. The King revealed that medical advice would prevent him from visiting New Zealand on his October tour as he continues to receive treatment for an undisclosed cancer.

Though the King expressed regret about postponing the visit, he remains hopeful for future opportunities to travel. His scheduled tour of Australia and Samoa will still proceed from October 18 to 26.
