Princess Anne Embarks on Busy Scotland Tour Following Waleses’ Balmoral Visit

Princess Anne has undertaken a series of engagements in Scotland, following the recent visit of Prince William and Princess Kate to Balmoral. Known for her relentless schedule, the Princess Royal visited the region just days after the Prince and Princess of Wales attended church with King Charles and Queen Camilla.

During her stay, Anne, 74, participated in a Food and Farming Day at Solsgirth Home Farm in Dollar and toured Hugh Black and Sons Limited butchers in Stirling. As President of the Scotch Chef’s Club, she also visited an independent butcher shop, showcasing her ongoing support for local businesses.

Dressed in a red jacket and black trousers, the Princess was warmly welcomed by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk, Alan Simpson. Despite her tight schedule, she returned to London the same evening to host a dinner at St James's Palace for Opportunity International UK.

Anne’s visit to Scotland followed her recent trip to the Netherlands with her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem. She is set to travel to France later this week to open the Loos British Cemetery Extension as part of her duties as President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
