Experts Urge Caution Amid Speculation of Public Appearances Following Cancer Recovery
Princess Catherine has been advised to take caution as she begins to resume her royal duties after completing chemotherapy treatment. The Princess of Wales recently made her first public appearance at Windsor Castle, attending an “Early Years meeting” as part of her work with the Royal Foundation.
While her return has been praised as a positive step, experts warn that her public engagements may remain limited for the time being. Commentator Cameron Walker noted that although Catherine has been holding meetings from home, only this official engagement was recorded in the Court Circular, marking a careful re-entry into her royal role.
“It’s a promising sign so soon after her announcement that she’s finished chemotherapy,” shared another expert, highlighting that the princess’s gradual return could lead to her attendance at significant events such as Remembrance Sunday in November or the royal carol service in December.
However, Walker cautioned that Kensington Palace will be “very careful” not to overextend Catherine. “There is a big difference between a brief private meeting at Windsor Castle and travelling hundreds of miles for a public engagement. We are still seeing good and bad days with her health,” he explained, stressing that any future engagements will likely be announced at the last minute to accommodate her recovery.
