Princess Catherine Resumes Royal Duties After Cancer-Free Announcement

First Engagement at Windsor Castle Marks Return to Work

Princess Catherine has returned to her royal duties after revealing she is “cancer free” following nine months of treatment. The Princess of Wales quietly resumed her responsibilities with an Early Years Meeting held at Windsor Castle, according to the Court Circular.

The meeting, focused on her lifelong passion for Early Years development, marked her first official engagement of the year. The Early Years initiative, which Catherine has described as her “life’s work,” aims to provide a strong foundation for children in their formative years—a cause close to the Princess’s heart as a devoted mother of three.

Earlier this year, the Princess underwent abdominal surgery and, in March, announced her cancer diagnosis. In early September, she shared the uplifting news of her recovery in a heartfelt video alongside her family.

As Catherine steps back into her role, reports suggest she plans to take on “a handful” of duties over the coming months. Two highly anticipated appearances include the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in November and her annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.
